SUMMIT LAUNCH DINNER

CARROW ROAD

Together with The Summit Foundation trustees and partners we were joined by over 100 guests including the national media, premier league footballers, managers, Delia Smith and influencers to celebrate the launch of The Summit Foundation.  It was a fantastic evening and gave us the opportunity to share our exciting plans for the foundation.

The support on the night was overwhelming and we have a solid base on which to build the foundation. From the night we had people happy to support us in terms of their own challenges to raise money for The Summit Foundation, starting with ex footballer Andrew Hughes who is undertaking a 100-mile bike ride in the Yorkshire Dales!

The night mapped out where the charity wants to go and whom it wants to support and of course Stuart spoke about his challenge of climbing Mount Everest! The evening was hosted by former Sky Sports presenter Neil Ashton who did an excellent job in asking questions to Stuart and Zoe leaving all our guests sure of what the foundation aims to achieve.

To help raise the profile of The Summit Foundation we also launched our first episode of The Climb Podcast that day with ex England and Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand. Please take a listen https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/rio-ferdinand/id1618913968?i=1000558225572

Stuart said of the night “I was taken aback by the responses of people and the genuine want to support what were trying to achieve. The support from our peers means so much and means we can achieve our aims and make a genuine difference to young people and do our little bit to try and help change the direction that our society is heading in. I must thank Delia Smith and Michael Wyn Jones for allowing us to host the evening in Delias Restaurant and Bar and for Neil Ashton to kindly present what was an important night for us. I must also thank Jonathan Parramint and Lauren Blyth (two of our trustees) for their continued hard work and support and to all our partners than you for your time and dedication. Let the journey commence!”
